Pulau Rawa is a small, pristine island in the Seribuat Archipelago, with a gorgeous beach and colorful reef.

Having been controlled intermittently by the Portuguese, Dutch, and British empires, the port city of Melaka (Malacca) has plenty of history and exceptionally tasty food.

Pulau Tioman is the largest island in the Seribuat Archipelago, and was listed as one of the world's ten most beautiful islands by Time magazine... in the 1970's. The intervening years have not been kind to the island. The "five star" resort was decked out in campy style, and featured industrial construction equipment on the beach and a fleet of cargo ships at the snorkeling hole. On the plus side, there were plenty of macaque monkeys and giant monitor lizards wandering about.
