Sleeping around the world

In a little trip down memory lane, I sat down and tried to remember every city I've slept in around the world, ever. No way I can remember them all, but maybe that's okay: if I can't remember sleeping in a place, why count that I was there?

Apart from a few dozen backcountry huts, a reef or two, and a bunch of little towns which TripAdvisor doesn't know about, so far I've slept in at least 276 cities across 35 countries. A live-updating map:



You can make your own map through TripAdvisor's website or their Facebook application. If you want to share it publicly, you can right-click the image you want to share and copy the URL. The large image above uses size=FB_FULLTAB, while smaller images can be generated using size=FACEBOOK. Earlier today, I thought you needed to include the random parameter in the URL to display a large map, but right now it seems to work with just the id and size parameters.
